SHIGA COMET VASE
SHIGA COMET VASE SHIGA COMET VASE
$79.95

The first ceramics produced in the Shiga Prefecture of Japan were durable, functional items such as bottles and large dishes, rooted in daily life.  As the tea ceremony developed in 16th century Japan, rustic Shigaraki ware appealed to the wabi-sabi aesthetic.  This long, narrow vase has a burnt black surface shot through with gold slashes, and a rough, raw opening, lending a dramatic flair to any table or sideboard.
