The native tribes of the Northern Philippines are known for hunters’ headgear like this one. This Philippine hunter's hat, which might only have been worn on ceremonial occasions, has an abaca frame and feathers and a boar tusk in the middle. Thus unusual and authentic piece, which does not show a lot of wear, would be a great addition to any collection.
This piece is sourced from Guillermina Emy LaFever, who is known for her unique, quirky art and furnishings with an Asian emphasis. She has traveled the world acquiring and merchandising her incredible collection for 35 years.
